hello, TI engineer

my project will require the codes should be ASIL-D. if software tools of TI have a certification of TUV, it could be better.

  • Hello Wang,

TI offers a compiler qualification kit. The concept is similar to certification but more flexible. Note that most certified compilers are certified under very strict use guidelines and targeted application types. If there is deviation, they would require the same type of qualification that is offered by our compiler qualification kit. So, to assure you code is ASIL-D ready, first your development process needs to comply with the applicable standards (both IEC61508 and ISO26262 have their specific requirements for software development). Part of these requirements is to qualify your compiler. Note that certification is not mentioned in the standard as a specific requirement and even if you assessor believes it is, you can self-certify with the qualification kit and an internal assessment of your development process to the applicable standard.

The CCS Compiler Qualification Kit (CQK) product page can be found at this link: www.ti.com/.../safeti_cqkit

Since a third party tool is used within the CQK, this kit does require a fee to use.
