TMS570LS3137: About Safety feature "HET5A"

Part Number: TMS570LS3137

I using TMS570LS3137, and reading Safety Manual(SPNU511D).
I want to rearized fault injection test of below safety mechanism.

・HET5A:「Boot Time Software Test of Function Using I/O Loopback」

*Reference "e2e.ti.com/.../571216"
From the forum, I want to perform Analog Loopback
with reference to the manual (SPNU499B) P785.

As a result of performing a loopback, what happens when it is judged as a failure?
Also, what happens when it can be judged as normal?

  • Hello Falcon,

If you use NHET loopback (analog or digital), the output signal (PWM) from HR0 block is routed into the input HR1 block (PCNT), the captured pulse period should be the same as the period of the output PWM. There is no fault injection here.
