EK-TM4C1294XL: uart_echo example

I'm trying to run the uart_echo example. I have the EK set up for the uart_echo demo just as

Lab 10 says.

When I run the example, nothing happens. I tried pressing the reset button, I don't see

anything prompting me to enter text.

I have PuTTY 0.70 installed on windows 10. I am unable to open a PuTTY terminal window.

I have the correct COM serial port, the baud rate set to 115200, flow control OFF. These settings

are consistent with the Stellaris virtual serial COM port. Why won't the terminal open?

    Hello Priya,

    Sometimes I've seen on LaunchPads that the UART connection can get hosed up because the port wasn't closed properly for all sorts of reasons. Have you tried unplugging the device, closing out PuTTY, and then re-plugging the device and re-connecting? Note when doing this, there is a chance the port number may change in Device Manager. Once re-connected to PuTTY you can try and hit the reset button again to see if the Enter Text: prompt appears.

    I tested the example on my own LaunchPad and had no issues with PuTTY - though I'll note I am on Win7 and not Win10, and used 0.63 (though PuTTY version should be irrelevant for this).

    As par my knowledge you use "ek-tm4c1294xl "board in this board two "UART JUMPER" jp5&jp4 check the jumper position u have connect in "= " like this..

    PuTTY finally worked. I had to set the PuTTY session details from the Session Serial window

    and then click reset on the EK. I was directly going to the Connection serial tab and setting the

    connection details. This tab may be necessary to turn off flow control. I can see the LEDs flicker

    on the EK.
