TMS570LS0432: TMS570LS0432 AEC-Q100?

Hi;

Looking at the TI website it looks like the TMS570LS0232 and the TMS570LS0332 are listed as "automotive" AEC-Q100 qualified but the TMS570LS0432 is only listed as "catalog" (which would imply it's not AEC-Q100), despite being in the same sub-family of TMS570LS 02x/03x/04x.

I assume this is not a misprint (let me know if it's not). Is there any schedule or timetable for the TMS570LS0432 to become AEC-Q100 qualified? Is there a reason it's -not- AEC-Q100 qualified while the other two parts are?

I understand there should be no functional or performance difference, but for our particular needs we require AEC-Q100 so this is a major factor.

Hello Joe,

TMS570LS0432 is also automotive grade MCU for safety system. The part number for TMS570LS0432 is TMS5700432BPZQQ1:
Q: temperature is -40 ~ 125 degree
Q1: Automotive grade

If the TMS570LS0432 is automotive qualified, why does it list "Catalog" instead of "Automotive" like the TMS570LS0232 and TMS570LS0332?

TMS570LS0432, TMS570LS0332 and TMS570LS0232 are all catalog and automotive Q-100 qualified.

Could you point me to the TI product page where it shows differences between the 3 products?

This is all from the TI website for the Hercules processors.

Here the TMS570LS0432 is listed, under "Ratings" as "Catalog" : http://www.ti.com/product/TMS570LS0432/description

While here, the TMS570LS0332 is listed, under "Ratings" as "Automotive": http://www.ti.com/product/TMS570LS0332/description

See also this page which lists the 02x/03x/04x comparisons, the far right column "Ratings" shows the 232 and 332 as "Automotive" while the 432 is "Catalog"

These are the discrepancies to which I'm referring.

Based on this forum discussion here, "Catalog" strongly implies that the part is not AEC-Q100 qualified and rated:

We cannot use the 432 if it is not AEC-Q100 rated, and these pages seem to indicate that it is not.

Under rating, TMS570LS0432 should be Automotive. I will have it corrected.
