My customer has a question regarding the TMS570LS3137 SCI device control register description in the TRM (spnu499b), I’m hoping you can direct me to an answer.
The TMS570LS3137 has 2 peripherals that can be used for SCI (a LIN/SCI device and a dedicated SCI device).
My question is regarding the address-bit mode and idle-line mode setting the COMM MODE field of the SCIGCR1 register.
Section 26 (SCI/LIN device) defines the following settings for this field:
However Section 27 (dedicated SCI) defines the following settings for the same field:

The SCI control register maps between the two devices appear to be identical, but this setting appears to be different between them.
Is this setting truly different between the two or is this a mistake in the documentation?
