RTOS/TMS570LS3137: Need help on TMS570LS3137 Flexray

Part Number: TMS570LS3137
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: HALCOGEN, OMAPL138

Tool/software: TI-RTOS

Hello,

I would like to ask about the following questions about TMS570LS3137 Flexray:

Q1: For TMS570LS3137 RTOS, TI RTOS vs Free RTOS compare:

1. Resource occupied !? (internal RAM, speed overhead)

2. Support convenient !? (Ex: HALCOGEN)

3. need any charge? price?

4. TI RTOS and Free RTOS Learning curve which is better! (HOW, Where, succesful, instance)

Q2: For Flexray bus:

A. Example code for TMS570LS3137

B. From physical domain (ex: Multi-payload analysis) to Flexray bus static segment, gynamic segment... Scheduling analysis examples (More info is better)

C. TMS570LS31x HDK Kit + HDK Experimenter Board design circuit is guarded to be successful by TI? need example code and document for that , and where to get Experimenter Board to test.

     TMS570LS31x HDK Kit

     processors.wiki.ti.com/.../TMS570LS31x_HDK_Kit

     HerculesHdkExperimenter

     http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/HerculesHdkExperimenter

D. Debug Facilities? (Data log, monitor, API, GUI, such as NI provided solution

   www.ni.com/.../

Q3: There are any special notes for customer design TMS570LS3137 PCB

Q4: Because we dedicated to use TMS570LS3137 as IOP for handle 2 CAN, 2 Flexray, 1 Ethernet, 1 UART, 1 SPI EEPROM, EMIF (1 FPGA for another I/O purpose, 1 SRAM ( at least 8MB),1 to OMAPL138)

The loading might be too heavy!?

Q5: We intended us OMAPL138 EP as mission calculation center, there are any special note for that; by EMIF-> HPI

Thanks,

Andy

  • Hello Andy,

I have forwarded your question to one of our FlexRay experts. They should get back with you soon.
  • Hi Chuck ,

Thank you for your help, if have any info please let me know.

    Best regards,

    Andy

  • Hello Andy,

As mentioned in several other posts, Houston has been impacted by a severe Hurricane and subsequent record flooding. Our site is located in the Houston area and has been closed for the last week. We will resume operation on Sept. 5th. I personally know that our flexray expert to whom I forwarded you post has been displaced from their home by the risk of flooding to their home so they are unable to get online. They should get back to answer questions and supporting our customers starting next Tuesday when our site opens back up. In the mean time, I thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through this difficult time.
