RM57L843: Attaching shunt resistor

Part Number: RM57L843

Dear all,
I'm trying to use simple power analysis to measure the power consumption of my CPU over time using Picoscope.
To measure the power consumption my first approach is to measure the current going through the USB cable. Since a Picoscope can only measure voltage, I inserted a 10 Ohm resistor into the mass wire of the USB cable. Thus, the voltage over this resistor is directly proportional to the current through the resistor. The problem I have now is that because of the inserted resistor the CCS cannot connect to the board.

Any other suggestion where I can attach the resistor to measure the power consumption??

Thank you

Sincerely,

Moud
