TMS570LC4357: HET Tutorials doesn't exist and download of the IDE is not possible

Hello,

I'm trying to get started with the HET-IDE and found this useful PDF for beginners; http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/spnu485c/spnu485c.pdf

Ironically there is no "View Tutorials"-folder after the installation.

I tried to download the HET-IDE again, but thats not possible now (https://www.ti.com/event/docs/eventresourcesaction.tsp?actionId=1058&resourceId=94&actionPerformed=serveResource ).

Can you please update this page and where can I get the tutorials?

See section 1.2:

The HET IDE installer places the tutorials in the "%PROGRAMDATA%\TexasInstruments\Hercules\HETIDE\<version>\Tutorials

And ..

The installer also places a shortcut to open the folder in windows explorer in the start menu (see Figure1).

This what should happen if you are on Windows and you should have %PROGRAMDATA% as an env variable.

I have read this, but unfortunately the called folder doesn't exist.

So, then it would be one of two things:
- you are using an older HET IDE than the version available for download. The tutorials folder moved in the latest version to the place described in the document.
- something went wrong during installation

Thanks for the link. There is still no tutorial-folder after the reinstallation. There is nothing I can do...

Ok I'll have to see if someone on the team can install the HET IDE and compare.
I left the team a while back and can't install on my PC.

BTW I think %PROGRAMDATA% is normally a hidden folder so you wouldn't necessarily see it in explorer.
You can try doing a 'dir %PROGRAMDATA%' in a CMD window though.

When I try this, I get a long list on cmd with the format " Date Time <DIR> Program". But the folder is still hidden.
