Hi,

I have done all conifgurations like in the manual, link below.

processors.wiki.ti.com/.../LAUNCHXL2_RM57L:_lwIP_Demo

but when I'm in Debug mode and check the console window I get this Error:

Initializing ethernet (DHCP)
        DEBUG - Getting PHY ID...SUCCESS
        DEBUG - Getting PHY Alive Status...SUCCESS
        DEBUG - Getting PHY Link Status...!!! ERROR !!!..DONE

What can it be? Has anybody an idea? Thank you.

I also get an Error on this line when I build the Project.

pinMuxReg->PINMUX[9] = PINMUX_BALL_R4_ | PINMUX_BALL_N17_EMIF_nCS_0 | PINMUX_BALL_L17_EMIF_nCS_2;

Error message is "PINMUX_BALL_R4" is undefinded. When I commed it out it is build without Errors.

I'm a little further, now I get this but I doesn't go further it stops here? What can it be?

should be:

pinMuxReg->PINMUX[9] = PINMUX_BALL_R4_EMIF_nCAS | PINMUX_BALL_N17_EMIF_nCS_0 | PINMUX_BALL_L17_EMIF_nCS_2;

This was a bug in the generated code through the old version HalCoGen. It is fixed in 4.06 and later version.

What is your hardware setup for this Ethernet demo?

1. You need connect the Launchpad to a Ethernet switch or router through a Ethernet cable
2. If you use static IP, you need to provide the correct gateway, netmask, and IP address

Sorry to be crashing this thread, but I have HalCoGen 4.07.00 installed.

I am building the lwIP-1.4.1 example project for the RM57x and I get the same bug as above?

Any help?

I tried toggling the connection (EMIF_nCAS) in the pinmux window, at the error is gone now.

Hi Huihuang Chen

I had to enable the Ethernet PHY on my board.

I am not sure what HW you are using, but I have the Hercules RM57Lx Development Kit and it has a dipswitch for enabling Ethernet.

Hello Huihuang,

The problem may be caused by the pinmux and the ethernet switch (dip switch on HDK to enable the ethernet).

Those are the pinmux and HalCoGen configuration files used on my LWIP test on RM57x HDK. It works.

Hello QJ,
Thank you for your help.
Now it is working. But I think the manual for RM57 demo is not correct or not for the RM57 HDK.
I hope this post will help other people.

Hello Mercel,

The LWIP RM57 demo is for Launchpad. HDK and Lauchpad use differnt pins for MII/RMII and different clock. Thanks
