Hi,

We have two new TM4C123G LaunchPads ordered form Mouser. Using Keil we cannot download code. We get the error "could not find an Cortex-M device in the JTAG chain. We have six other TM4C123G Launchpads that all work fine. Tried using LMFlashProgranner to unlock devices with out success. We believe two devices are defective.

Any suggestions? We would like to return the devices.

Hello Busey,

It sounds like you are experienced with the LaunchPad so I would like to assume that the switch position is set correctly and you tested multiple USB cables?

I haven't run into an error with the Unlock Device process before, so when you say without success I am not sure if it's because you got an error prompt or if you just saw no change in behavior. If the latter, have you tried updating ICDI firmware? Erasing flash?

It could be the devices showed up bricked/DOA, so if you just want to return or exchange them, as you got the boards from Mouser. I think you'd have to go through them first and foremost but if you are having challenges, you can contact the general TI support based on the info here: www.ti.com/.../calltisupport.tsp

While we support the LaunchPad's from an application standpoint, I can't say we have any role in returns for defective ones, but I hope the link I provided helps if the Mouser angle doesn't help.
