LAUNCHXL2-RM57L: LAUNCHXL2-RM57L and DRV8305-Q1 boosterpack

Part Number: LAUNCHXL2-RM57L
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8305-Q1, BOOSTXL-DRV8305EVM

Dear team,

we would need your help to confirm whether the following launch pad LAUNCHXL2-RM57L is compatible with DRV8305-Q1 booster pack (BOOSTXL-DRV8305EVM).

We looked at booster pack checker tool on the web though there's no Hercules launch pad as part of the database : https://dev.ti.com/bpchecker/

Thanks in advance for your prompt replay,

Kind regards,

Giuseppe

  • Giuseppe,

It appears that the booster pack was designed specifically for the C2K Launchpad mentioned in the spec for it and isn't directly compatible to the RM57L launchpad even though both appear to comply with the booster pack standard. Certainly, the RM57 board has all of the pins available to drive the booster pack or the available EVM but it would require a blue wire approach rather than the cleaner booster pack interface. Note that most of the available pins on the RM57 are accessible by either the standard booster pack connectors or by using the un-populated edge connectors.
