TMS570LS3137-EP: RTOS + TCP/IP + SNMP

Hi everybody,

We are going to work with Hercules TMS570LS3137-EP. We used to work with Vxworks as operating system for our legacy projects, however it is not supported for TMS570LS3137. In that case are not sure about which operating system to use. In addition, operating system selection is not our only concern. The operating system that we select should support TCP/IP and SNMP. Does anybody have any experience with TMS570LS3137 + RTOS + TCP/IP + SNMP?

    Hello Kivanc,

    We have a list of OS's that support Hercules on our Hercules main page located here: www.ti.com/.../tools-software.html

    Although I don't want to support any specific 3rd party solution, of those listed, I believe that the Micrium μC/OS-II™ would be an ideal solution as I know they support the Do178 standards and also offer a TCP/IP stack solution. I am not certain regarding SNMP capability/support.

    SafeRTOS also supports DO178b but I am not certain on support for TCP/IP or SNMP.

    I might ask the question in a wrong way. Thanks for the link of course but we already checked it. What we want is user experiences. Engineers, designers, developers ,who had similar constrains (TMS570LS3137 + RTOS + TCP/IP + SNMP), and their solution to those constraints. However thanks for your suggestions about Micrium μC/OS-II and SafeRTOS. Dou you have any experience with them? And in the case we chose SafeRTOS or Micrium μC/OS-II, can we use those operating systems with HALCoGen?
