RM57L843: GPIO count

Part Number: RM57L843

Hello

With reference to the datasheet, it has been mentioned on the first page there are total pins of 145 GPIO whereas on page 08 it has been mentioned as 168 GPIO.

1)- How many are total GPIO pins?

2)-Which peripheral pins can't be used as GPIO?

Please update.

Regards

  • Hello Raheel,

Sorry for the confusion. The 168 GIO capable pins listed on p.8 is correct. I will submit a documentation bug so this discrepancy can be corrected in the next datasheet update.

The second half of your question is a bit more difficult to answer. Generally, we have terminal functions with GPIO capability labeled as such in the terminal functions table. I think, however, some are missing (specifically some related to ETM pins). I will also include this in the document feedback/bug report so that it can possibly be addressed in the next document update.
  • Hi Chuck

Yes, Please update the datasheets as it cause unnecessary confusions.
I think some of the ETM pins (data) haven't been mentioned as GPIO, but if I include them then count is 169.:)
    Documentation feedback deserves a price:)
