2.

TI web site say that SafeTI design package includes software, tools, and hardware witch help certification of user's applications.

I wanna know what become easier with these thing.

thank you

  • Hello,

We provide several CSPs such as SAFETI-HALCoGen-CSP, SAFETI-HERCULES-DIAG-LIB-CSP. These CSPs generate the necessary documentation and reports to assist customers using the HALCoGen generated software and the SafeTI Hercules Diagnostic Library to comply with functional safety standards such as IEC 61508 and ISO 26262.

The documents and reports the CSP provided are:

    • Software Requirement Document
    • Software Architecture Document
    • Software Safety Manual
    • Dynamic Coverage Analysis Report
    • Test Manager report
    • Test results reports
    • Traceability report

  • Hello Wang
    thank you for your reply
i want to know about SafeTI-61508, but i might missunderstand that SafeTI design package is different from CSP you mentioned.
  • Hello User,

The SafeTI design packages is a general term used to describe the collection of devices that TI offers for use in various types of functional safety applications. This includes the IEC62730, ISO26262, IEC61508, etc. It is, in no uncertain terms, a marketing brand or label so to speak.

One of the product families that is included under the umbrella of the SafeTI parts is the Hercules family. This family of devices offers an echo system that is designed to support you functional safety development. This includes the Compliance Support Packages (CSPs) for our SW offerings such as HalCoGen generated HAL code and the SafeTI Diagnostic Library. Each code set has its own CSP that can be used to qualify the TI generated SW for use in your functional safety application. It is not required to use them since you cold choose to perform your own testing and apply your own process requirements to these code sets independent of the CSPs. What is required is that you meet the IEC61508 SW requirements for the reduction of risk of systematic faults in your application. The CSPs can be used to show that the SW was developed in accordance to those standards. Note that this doesn't mean that all of your specific needs will be met and you will need to review the materials to identify and close any gaps to application specific needs. Note that the CSPs are developed and intended for use with the TI CCS tools. They do not support other IDEs.

Also available is our CQK or compiler qualification kit for the TI Compiler. There are two options for this. these options can be reviewed in this link/post: e2e.ti.com/.../616290

Note that the collection of devices, software, CSPs, CQKs, etc all are included under the branding of SafeTI design packages.
  • Hello Davenport
