CCS/TMDSEMU100V2U-20T: No COM-Port in device manager with XDS100v2

Part Number: TMDSEMU100V2U-20T

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi, I want to use TMDSEMU100V2U-20T for Debugging  with/and Serial Output. But when I connect the USB port of the device to my computer there is no COM port device visible in the device manager. I'm using also the RM57Lx Development Kit (TMDXRM57LHDK) when I connect the USB of the developement kit I can see a COM port in the device Manager. Why?

  • Hi,

I suspect the drivers that were installed for your standalone XDS100v2 at a certain point were either incorrect or somehow corrupt - that obviously assuming your standalone pod is properly functional.

Can you try to reinstall the Windows drivers as shown in section 2.6 of the XDS100 page below?

Otherwise, can you check if the FTDI device is properly programmed in your XDS100v2? Check section 5.2.2. of the same page above.

    Hope this helps,
    Rafael
