TM4C1294NCPDT: Missing Tape and Reel in datasheet

Part Number: TM4C1294NCPDT

Hello,

We have a customer (TI Sales) who pointed out that the Tape and Reel info is missing from the datasheet.

Could someone please provide this so we can pass along?

Thanks,

  • Doesn't TI maintain a separate datasheet for the package?

    Robert

  • Hello Gabe,

I believe what you are looking for can be found in this document: http://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/snoa403

Section 8 which starts on Page 8 has information about T&R dimensions for TQFP packages such as the TM4C1294NCPDT.

Any other information about packaging and device markings etc. specific to the device can be found in the datasheet starting on Page 1885.

  • Greetings Ralph,

I second friend Robert's (earlier) question.       (He correctly surmised that a "separate datasheet" must exist.)

Are you able to reveal, "just how" you knew of - then found - this (necessary) data?

Fairly often such data is "known by the vendor" - unknown by ALL "outsiders" - thus forces  "user-clients"  (after their failed search)  to come to vendor agents, here.

is that (always) advisable?      And is it not "sure" to occur repeatedly?

Might  "better promotion of such data" be implemented - so that user's escape the delay & uncertainty - which impedes user-client progress?

  • Hi cb1,

To be frank, it wasn't trivial to find for me either. I didn't even know if it existed but I went with the assumption it did and then looked. Not sure how to address the lack of findability for it, but ultimately I had to resort to keying in the right Google phrase to locate it, as the TI pages I expected to find that document at did not have a link. An item to be raised when the holidays are over.
  • And the only solid reason I had to suspect that would be the case is that it's true for most other TI products. They usually point to some sort of reference for package details. A fairly sensible approach, I think, given many products share packaging in the datasheet. Maintaining that information separately rather than for each product should be more manageable.

    IIRC NXP does the same.

  • Greetings friends Ralph & Robert,

Such data should be, "Quicker & Easier" to find.      Now of course your site is huge - yet, "Forcing ALL AWAY from the forum" - to find so related and necessary an MCU document - seems time-consuming, seriously distracting - thus highly inefficient!

The bright red stripe area - atop each forum page (which so "welcomes VITAL "Blogs, Groups, Training") appears, "SO MUCH MORE APPROPRIATE AN AREA - FROM WHICH TO LAUNCH "SUCH MCU RELATED/REQUIRED SEARCH!"

  • Thanks Ralph!

    Best regards,
