LM3S9D92: (Stellaris) Can someone recommend me a good book/tutorial for LM3S devices

I'm aware that Stellaris devices are pretty much EOL'd and NRND'd but all I have at the moment is a LM3S9D92 EK. I'm pretty much new to TI's ARM line of MCUs so I would appreciate if anyone could recommend me a good book or a tutorial series for LM3S devices (preferably uVision-based).

    I am sorry, but I cannot provide support for this device. You might try the Keil site, but I strongly suggest that you choose a different device that is currently supported.

    Your "twin conditions:"

    • recommend a good book/tutorial
    • broke beyond compare

    do not point to an especially favorable outcome.

    Your board is "one of VERY FEW" - and if damaged - cannot be repaired!      

    Where has it been?      ESD is a, "Clear & present - and on-going danger."     That board's (likely) "ten year past" - bodes (not) well for, "long-term success."

    It would appear that your ability to resolve, "Broke beyond compare" provides a more realistic path toward your, "ARM MCU Development."   (securing a job - somehow comes to mind...)

    You may investigate the presence of nearby Universities, schools, small local tech firms - any groups which may share your interest in ARM MCUs.

    In addition - your call/contact w/Vendor's local Sales Office - often provides insight into, "Those nearby - who may prove useful to your quest."    (you will not know - unless you, "Make that call.")

    My signature is just a joke, I'm not that broke, also if it's ESD-fried I still can fix it since I have quite a few LM3S9D92(s) lying around
    I have some experience with ARM MCUs (mostly from ST and Atmel), I'm only new to TI's ARM MCUs...

    well I think it's time for me to not be lazy and get a tiva board. Thanks anyways

    Should you (really) have, "quite a few of those LM3S devices" - properly ESD Safeguarded - more profitable use of them would see their "Sale" to highest bidding, "EOL Component Specialist Firm."

    As you claim to be in the "learning mode" - use of this vendor's "current devices" - proves far more suitable.     (support would be a huge bonus)

    Firm/I also employ ARM MCUs from both firms you note - and from another.   (creator of the K6 family - which I'd strongly suggest...)

    Joseph Yiu's book - "The Definitive Guide to the Cortex M3/M4" should well answer your book requirement.     (especially as your financial status has been upgraded - somehow myself/others "Missed (both) your "joke's"  Set-Up ... & its Punch-Line!")    (hold onto your day job...)
