TMS570LS3137: MiBSPI configure as Standard SPI, will the Buffer still be accessible?

Hi,

I'm trying to use the SPI communication on the TMS570LS3137, I notice the MiBSPI is standard SPI compatible,

will the buffer in MiBSPI still be accessible in the standard SPI configuration?

And does standard SPI channel(SPI2) also have buffer?

Hello BoYuan,

Both SPI2 and MibSPI have bufer. SPI2 has two data buffer (TXBUF and RXBUF), but MibSPI has multibuffer ram. Which buffer do you mean?

Hi QJ,

I'm planning to use the MiBSPI3 on the TMS570LS3137 to communicate with TMS320F28335 SPI-A channel, my questions are listed below:
1. Do I have to use MiBSPI3 in SPI compatible mode to communicate with TMS320F283350 SPI-A channel?
2. If I use the MiBSPI3 in SPI compatible mode, will the RAM buffer still be accessible by the channel?

Hello Boyuan,

1. You can use either multibuffer mode or SPI compatible mode
2. If you use SPI compatible mode, you can not use the MibSPI buffer RAM.
