Hello,

Is it possible to measure the frequency on multiple HET pins without using the HR share setting?

I'd like to measure the frequency on HET1 pins 14,15,16, 21 and 22 (fixed by an existing hardware design). However, using the HALCoGen tool, I'm only able to measure frequency on one of the two pins in a HR share pair. For example, I can measure the frequency on either HET1 pin 14 or pin 15 depending on how I set the corresponding HR share bit, but not both at the same time.

    Hello Will,

    I am forwarding to QJ who should be able to explain better how to do this. The HalCoGen NHET programs are limited because they are designed to provide a very targeted functionality. I believe that you could write your own NHET program to do input capture without the HR share feature but I do not have details on this.

    Hello Will,

    If you disable the HR mode (hr_lr) in PCNT instruction, you can capture the pulse at both pin 14 and pin 15.
