TMS570LS3137: TMS5703137DZWTQQ1 erase time

Part Number: TMS570LS3137

Hi champs,

I have a question about TMS5703137DZWTQQ1 erase time.

I saw datasheet.

My question is

What does this mean "for first 25 cycles"?

My understand is

Normally, Erase finish at the first 25 cycles, but it takes up to 4 seconds if there is a Bit that is hard to charge.

Correct?

Please let me know.

Shinji Ueda

  • Hello Shinji,

We provide the specification for the first 25 programmings as a convenience for our customers. This is because many customers will need to be able to setup and configure their production lines for programming the devices and need to understand how to setup their timeouts and production line timings. For this reason, we specifically screen our parts so that they meet this specification on delivery to the customer.

Over the life of the product or at extreme temperatures, there could be cells that are more difficult or that have degraded requiring more time to program resulting in the much longer programming/erase times.
