RM48L952: Qualification and Screening Tests Information

Part Number: RM48L952

Hello, my name is Gabriel and I work at TEKEVER, Portugal.
We are currently using the referred component in a space intended project.
Given the nature of our application, we are required to qualify every component according to standards.
However if you have already performed any test on any of these components it would be most valuable and time saving for us to have knowledge of those tests, which include, for example:
- Preconditioning + HAST or THB
- C-SAM inspection
- Thermal Cycling / Shock
- Lifetest

The test conditions are not important, so if you have done any of these tests or other kinds of tests that may comply to any MIL-PRF or STD, it would be most helpful in our qualification process.

Keep in mind that we are aware that you own a line of microcontrollers specific for space applications, however the mission in which these components will be part of, is going to provide a controlled temperature and radiation environment, thus the use of commercial components being allowed. Besides that our project is already in a very advanced state so changing this component now would be unbearable.

Thank you and best regards.

  • Hello Gabriel,

For PPAP related materials including device qualification information, please reach out to our quality department who overseas this type of information. I will forward to them so they can clarify what information we can provide if any. Note that any information will only be able to be shared under NDA.

Given your application use case, does the system/component need to be qualified according to the EASA CM - SWCEH - 001 Certifcation Memorandum on qualification of COTS components?
  • Hello Chuck,

Our application doesn't need such certification. We have however to qualify to the ECSS-Q-ST-60-13C standard, and for that effect we need representative data from manufacturers for the component otherwise the cost of qualification rises very significantly.

We have no problem in signing an NDA, just let us know what you need. Will the responsible department contact me? Or should I reach them directly?

    Thank you for your support.

    Gabriel

  • Hello Gabriel,

I am not familiar with the ECSS-Q-ST-60-13C requirements. We have a standard PPAP package our quality department can provide. It does require an NDA but I currently do not know what kind or format of the NDA. For certain, the SafeTI NDA we have on file will not cover this. I will send a private message to you using the messaging feature of the E2E so we can continue this discussion offline.

In the meantime, if you mark this thread as resolved, it would be appreciated.
