Dear E2E user

I have a confusion in interfacing Asynchronous Ram with external memory interface (EMIF). The issue is how we meet the timing requirements for ASRAM. If we have a read cycle time of ASRAM is  12ns minimum. and if we set the value of SETUP ,STROBE and HOLD are 2,10 and 2 respectively. Will Asynchronous ram interface ??? 

if its not please guide me how we meet the timing specifications

    Hello Irfan,

    If the specification is 12ns minimum, wouldn't 2+10+2 = 14ns be OK as it is greater than the minimum? If this is incorrect, would it be possible for you to clarify and/or provide a link to the specification so I can more clearly understand the requirement?

    14ns is greater than the minimum time of 12ns (Asynchronous Read cycle time ).. Should it be ok ? and if we see the datasheet of RM57L843 .
    EMIF read cycle time (EW=0) = minimum is (RS+RST+RH)+E-3 (Table 6-36, page 110 on datasheet of RM57L843)

    i mean how does we ll calculate the values of Setup,Strobe and Hold period ? in interfacing of external asynchronous ram which has minimum Read cycle time is 12ns .
