TMS570LC4357: Kelvin GND

Part Number: TMS570LC4357

Hello,

We have an external clock oscillator source connected to OSCIN pin K1.

In this case we are leaving the OSCOUT pin L1 unconnected as per the Figure 6-3 of the TMS570LC4357 datasheet.

But the datasheet does not tell us what to do with the KELVIN_GND pin in this case.

Should we leave KELVIN_GND pin L2 unconnected in this case or something else?

Thanks,

Christopher

  • Hello Christopher,

If you use an external oscillator which is driving a 3.3V peak-to-peak signal into OSCIN and OSCOUT is left open, Kelvin_GND is tied to the external oscillator's ground which should be common to other grounds on the device.
