TM4C123GH6PGE: font resource question

Part Number: TM4C123GH6PGE

Hi all, I am seeing the following font resources coming with grlib:

- fontcm12.c

- fontcmss18.c

- fontcmss48.c

- fontcmtt20.c

However none of them can fit well with my screen when I display my text, I am looking for a font roughly 20% larger than fontcmtt20, is there such font available? Is there any other font resource available as well? I would like to test them if possible to see if there is any better option for me.

Many thanks!

Richard

  • Feel your pain - this "font issues attractiveness" - and utility - has been noted by others - as well.
Most fonts require the acquisition of a "license" (at some cost) - the one employed by this vendor avoided such cost - (perhaps) by not registering as (pardon) highly attractive.

Prior to the acquisition by this vendor - the founding MCU firm (LMI) - developed a font which (may) prove "more to your liking." (due to its multiple (expanded number) of font sizes.) This font was part of a, highly ambitious, "CNC Project"- which demanded TWO ARM MCUs - and reported & directed CNC Operations - via a "Mono-Graphic Display."

My small tech firm had (some) involvement w/LMI - in that project's development - and while (unsure) - if you cannot satisfy your "font requirements" - we (may) be able to assist. (I am not 100% certain - MUCH time has passed - suggest that you treat this as a "reserve.")
  • Hello Richard,

The [Install Path]\TivaWare_C_Series-2.1.4.178\grlib\fonts contains the full extent of our fonts offered by grlib (which by my unscientific count of file numbers is about ~75 different selections including fontcmtt22, fontcmtt24, fontcmtt26 etc.). I think you will be able to find what you need within that selection, but I haven't tested font sizes personally so I can't really point to a specific one that matches your criteria. Also, if by chance none of those work for your use case, then your only option would be to search if any community members have shared additional fonts as we have no plans to add to our already rather large offering of fonts.
  • Cb1, as always, thank you for your inputs and help!

    Regards,

    Richard

  • Ralph, thank you for your suggestion, I did see them now and will test them through to find the more suitable font. BTW, I have been asking questions at different communities including NXP and Keil, TI community is by far the best and most helpful one, kudos to you guys and please keep up the great work!

    Regards,
    Richard
