TMS570LC4357: EB License for MCAL version 3.31.00 is expired

Dear team,

1. Now customer want to open the older MCAL version (3.31.00) with the older EB license. But the license is expired, MCAL 3.31.00 cannot be used anymore for free customer. So if customer want to use the older EB tresos to open the older MCAL modules again to see the configuration, how should they do next?

2. Customer want to use offline activate approach because their PC have no internet access, but they find the Elektrobit customer Portal is not open for them. Is there any workaround possible to help customer offline activate EB software? Thanks a lot.

    Hello David,

    1. MCAL 3.31.00 is around 4 year old, and the latest MCAL release is 5.40.00. Are your customer planning to use rev3.31.00 for their new projects? or the rev3.31.00 has been used in their product already? We highly recommend them to use the latest version (rev5.40.00) for new projects. The EB configuration tool coming along with the MCAL is for evaluation only. After evaluation period the customers have to buy the license from EB.
    2. I heard that EB has changed their licensing strategy for Evaluation free licenses. I don't if they still support the offline license. Can you check with EB local support?
