TMS570LC4357: Ethernet not getting initialized

Which board do you use? If HDK is used, please set the dip switch S2 to use EMAC.

I am using Hercules Safety MCU Development Kit TMS570LC4357. Switch S2 is in Ethernet ON position, but the problem still exist.

Did you follow the HALCoGen setup procedure listed in the example? The pinmux of ethernet pins are different for HDK and for Launchpad. The example is developed for HDK.

For example, G3 is used as MDIO pin on HDK, but F4 is used as MDIO on Launchpad.

In HALCoGen "Input Pin Muxing", the pins on column 2 are used for aunchpad.

I tried the lwip Ethernet example from this page"processors.wiki.ti.com/.../HALCoGen_Ethernet_Driver_and_lwIP_Integration_Demonstration " and it worked fine.

But when I tried to configure the lwip stack to send a packet using UDP , it is throwing lot of error. I was not even able to create a socket. In the lwip example lot of c files are excluded from build.

Can anyone tell what are the steps to do UDP transmit and receive.
The lwip stack is 1.4.1 , hardware TMS570LC4357 HDK board

This is the order I tried before:
1. pcb=udp_new();
2. udp_bind(pcb,&src_ip_address, udp_port_num);
3. udp_connect(pcb,&dst_ip_address, udp_port_num);
4. udp_transmit(&data[0]);

Thanks for your replay, TCP server and client workd fine.

I was trying the emac loopback example, but the data is not reverted back to the RXOCTETS, instead the data is filtered and RXTFILTERED is getting filled.

The TXOCTETS and NETOCTECTS are updated correctly.

This issue was not there when i used the same example code for my previous project.

Both the projects are having same ethernet and pinmux related files.

Is there any other dependency with other module.
