RTOS/TM4C1294KCPDT: How to create a TI-RTOS project for TM4C devices not in dev kits

I only see TI-RTOS project templates for TM4C chips used in dev kits. In the past, I have made projects for TM4C129XNCZAD which just so happens to be used in a dev kit. I had the following option:

Now, I want to make a project for a TM4C1294KCPDT, and there is no such option. Others have posted images where "SYS/BIOS' was an expandable category in place of "TI-RTOS Examples".

All introductory documentation I have found skip this step by building off existing projects.

Hi Peter,

The recommended procedure is that you import a project for one of the development kits & migrate it to your custom board/device. Here is a guide explaining how to change the project to a different device: Migrating a TI-RTOS project to a different device.

This feel a bit hacky, but should suffice.

Is there an answer to the original question? Is it possible to create a TI-RTOS project for non-dev kit TM4C devices from the project creation wizard?

May it be noted that, "hacky" - yet "succeeding" ... likely trumps, "More PRO - yet demanding extra time/effort" - and then, "failing!"

One wonders if, "FreeRTOS" - licensed by (both) MIT & Amazon - may offer (some clue/mechanism) in "realizing" your (fair) desire...

Do you like FreeRTOS and IAR? I have stayed within the TI ecosystem because it seems safer and clearly documented.

It is not possible to create a TI-RTOS project for a non-dev kit TM4C devices through the project creation wizard.

IAR - w/out equivocation! (Investors/Key Clients DEMAND "Proper" (thus broad based - device selection!) I'm reasonably new to FreeRTOS - yet several staffers (more experienced w/RTOS) highly rate it...

Might such claim, "clear vendor documentation" bump against (both)

your thread's Subject: "How to create ... devices NOT in Dev Kits" (perfectly fair & predictable - yet NO Answer!)

and

vendor's (less than satisfying) "posted" response

What then is, "Safe" and/or "Clearly documented?"

There is, "Much to learn - and gain" - via even "basic" investigation of the VAST ARM ecosystem - and competing (surely broader) operating systems... "One & only one" - Not so much!
