Hi, Im using the TMS570LS0432 with the BQ76Pl455A-Q, Im using the BQ76Pl455 Example code to program the microcontroller, its all working correctly at the moment but Im trying to make some of the GIO pins of the TMS570 become high (3.3V) however I am not able to do this, I tried modifying the code for for the Wakepl455() command however this did not work, do you know any way I can make the GIO pins become high?

Hello Alex,

1. make sure the pins are configured as GIO: pinmux
2. configure the GIO pin as output: gioPORTA->DIR
3. write 1 to data output register: gioPORTA->DOUT
or
3. write 1 to data output set register: gioPORTA->DSET

Hi QJ,

Thank for those tips, however wont setting the direction for the whole port mean that GIO[0] to GIO[7] become outputs, I only want to set a couple of the pins as outputs. How would I do this?

gioPORTA->DIR, gioPORTA->DOUT and gioPORTA->DSET have 32 bits each, corresponding to each of the 32 pins for PortA. So you can set the specific bits that you want.

Thanks for this, for the DIR bits does a 1 set it as an input or output?

I was having difficulty as well. The HALCoGen 4 application is 'funky'. The graphic for the GIO direction do not align properly with the underlying graphic template. The arrow looks set, but it wasn't when a checked the underlying code. Manually look at the code it generates..

I managed to do it in the end by manually changing the bits rather than using HalCoGen.
