In spnu511 in chapter 4 you describe the “Hercules Product Architecture for Management of Random Faults”.
We use SafeTI Hercules Diagnostic Library to run diagnostic tests on the Safe Island Layer. Then we run diagnostic tests on the parts of the Blended Layer used by the Application. Is it recommended by TI to run diagnostic tests on all parts (used and unused)?
Can we assume that any random fault in an unused part has no effect on the used parts or is discovered by diagnostic tests of the used parts?
