CCS/TM4C129ENCPDT: CAN works for co-worker, but not for me

Part Number: TM4C129ENCPDT
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CODECOMPOSER,

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

HI TI,

We are testing CAN Interface using Tm4c129encpdt and found a weird issue like the CAN code is working perfectly when compiled using colleagues laptop code composer studio with same TIware Library version. but same is  not working in my codecomposer studio in my laptop. I am getting random values in receive data.

Can any one help me to sort out the issue.?

  • First I suggest that you identify if it is a hardware or software difference. Can you take a device that was programmed by your co-worker and see it work correctly on your hardware setup? If yes, then it is most likely software. I suggest then that if you have not already done so, that you have your co-worker "export" the working CCS project to a zip file and send it to you. Then you can import the project. This will give you not only the same source files, but also the same project settings. For example, if you have a different version of the compiler, this new project will show a warning that it was originally made with a different compiler version.
  • May it be suggested that you, "Invite that co-worker - to stand CLOSER to the (High) Cliff's Edge" - and then PUSH!     You may want to secure his laptop (now yours) prior to the cliff climb...

In TEN+ years here - I don't believe ANY posting - has noted an, "Issue defined as/by Co-Worker..."

  • Thank you very much, seriously i i did that and my issue got resolved ..

you have very good knowledge , thanks again to find the root cause and helping in this TI forum.

  • As always - I 'Aim to Please.'     If you provide the funeral home's address - I'll have FTD send flowers.

It was then - and remains now - that, 'Focus upon Co-Worker' proved a 'Non-Starter!'

  • ha ha, Now you got more points i guess...striving for points pathetic
  • I am (clearly) - highly impacted - by your - and your (unfortunately departed) co-worker's - well considered judgment...
You should note that I have THREE IDENTITIES HERE - which splits those VITAL Points - and puts very much to LIE - your claim of, "point concern!"

Might the 'wrong person' - have (slipped) ... from that cliff?

In the (unlikely) event that you employed,  'Co-Worker' as a 'Ruse to Draw Eyes' - that's to be applauded!        Yet - your hostility - and FAILED Judgment - casts that 'cleverness' - much in doubt...

  • Its High time to Ban these kind of multiple identity people who barks on everyone's question , just to earn points or to satisfy their mentally

  • Agreed - why don't 'you' Start that process...    Oh - and be sure to consult your (higher achieving) co-worker.    (listen for 'his' bark...)

  • He already's in the grave as per your suggestion , lol ..
  • My friend - I DO wish you well. Tech & only Tech makes (many/most) here ... 'Dull Boyz!'    I tried for (gentle) humor - to 'liven up'  the joint!

What you claim as 'pathetic' has instead - yielded over 20, mostly ongoing - productive client relationships - even including - several 'giants.'

My use of my time - is my own - is it not?     When 'YOU' co-found - take past firm public - put a 'prancing horse' in your 'ocean view garage' - and have acquired over 150 'forum friends' (to include the best/brightest vendor agents) - thru efforts here - (as I have) ... (then ... and only then)  come talk to me about, 'pathetic!'    'Giving back' - to a community which 'aided me/my firm' - may be seen as 'worthy' - and (even) noble...

  • Ohh.. When people like us ask for a query when we are trouble, playing humor out of them is really pathetic. Weather you be co-founder of giant firm or a person with large no. forum friens or a passionate techie... May be you are great person with lot of technical skill, knowledge and forum friends, when beginners ask doubts, if you want to reply, it must benefit from your reply, and help to get out of that trouble rather that humouring.
  • Hello azim and cb1,

I would kindly request that this debate be halted on the public forums. Thank you.
  • I've shut down my end... Remain unsure as to the 'Co-Worker.'
  • yes, accepted !
