CCS/TM4C123GH6PM: why header file not created automatically for tiva in code composer studio?

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

When I use code composer studio for MSP430, it created a <msp430.h> header file automatically. But when create a project for tm4c123gh6pm, there I can't find device header file. Someone says use tivaware. I need to start a project feom scratch.

Hi Manu,
The tm4c123gh6pm.h is part of the TivaWare library under <TivaWare_Installation>/inc. I will suggest you reference a TivaWare TM4C123 example such as blinky for a quick start on your project. Simply replace the content of the main() function with your own code. If you need to add new peripherals into your project you can just add the header file(s) for the associated modules.

I am using this controller (TM4C123GH6PM) only for study purpose. ie learn to write our own device driver. So I don't need support of Tivaware. In that case I require MACROS of the registers. Is there any possibility to get those in Code composer studio?

Hi,
You can find MACROS of the registers in the <TivaWare_Installation>/inc directory.
