TMS570LS3137: Operation of CAN Transceiver on CRC failure

Part Number: TMS570LS3137

The CAN module detect CRC error (LEC filed (bit 2-0) in Error and Status Register (DCAN ES)) when CRC received for an incoming message does not match the calculated CRC for the received data. Does CAN Transceiver will take care on CRC failure or it is expecting the application handle it? Thank you.
