TM4C1294KCPDT: Programmer/Debugger

Part Number: TM4C1294KCPDT
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: EK-TM4C1294XL

1.       I dry to replace the LM3S9D92 with TM4C1294K on a functional board, the TM4C123xH6PMI will not be include on the new board, as it show on EK-TM4C1294XL. The new board will have the TM4C1294K only.

2.       I am looking for an external Programmer/debugger to program/debug the new board, directly connect to the TM4C1294K JTAG, or PC0 to PC3. Is it require any support driver on the new board?

3.       May any one recommend a programmer/Debugger with minimum pin count and support my new board, please?

  • Hello Wing,

I assume you are trying to do a new PCB layout with the TM4C129x device?

For external debugger, there are many options. XDS200 is a good one, as is the newer XDS100. There are some non-TI options as well which you may want to investigate.

This document mentions various debuggers and discusses all the connector types and the hardware layout requirements for them, I think you will find all your answers here: http://www.ti.com/lit/an/spma075/spma075.pdf
