I'm using a RM48L952ZWTT in a design were I'm having some issue with RMII. Below are the explanation.
The RM48 is connected to an external Ethernet switch using RMII port. The Ethernet switch is setup to provide the 50MHz REFCLK on the RMII bus.
From all the test that we did, we found that at a specific temperature, we have some packet loss on the Ethernet Switch. The Ethernet Switch registers shows RxFragment and CRCError on the packets received from the RM48.
From the waveform, it looks like we have a lot of margin on RMII and that all RMII timing are mets. However it seems that there is something marginal.
Is there a way in the RM48 that we can do one of the following:
- Delay data output
- Change some RMII timing
- Change RMII pins drive strength. (I did search in the datasheet and it seems that there is no setting for drive strenght on the RMII bus)
