TMS570LS0432: TMS570 Connections

Hello Everyone,

I am developing a BMS using BQ76PL455 and TMS57004. Currently, I am giving power to TMS57004 by connecting it to the USB port of Laptop.

Now I want to power the device without using USB of Laptop. How should I do that?

Hello Gunit,

The datasheet for the TMS570 MCU specified the pin numbers for the supplies required for the part to function correctly. The recommended operating conditions for each of the supplies are specified.

An external PMIC is typically required to generate the two separate voltage levels required.

Dear Sir,

Thanks for replying.

I have read the datasheet and I found out that we can connect a maximum voltage of 4.6 V to Vccio, Vccp pin on the board. Is this correct?

Gunit,

The absolute maximum ratings are the extreme specifications at which the part could have permanent damage. Please use the recommended operating conditions for identifying the lower and upper limits on the supplies.

If I provide a voltage of 3.3 V to Vccio will it be sufficient to run TMS57004 ?

You need to connect all VCCIO, VCCAD/VREFHI, and VCCP to 3.3V (nominal), all VCC to 1.2V (nominal) and all VSS/VSSAD/VREFLO to ground.
