EK-TM4C1294XL: SPI communication between TMS57004 and TM4C1294 XL

Dear All,

I need to communicate between TMS57004 (SPI Master) and TM4C1294 XL (SPI Slave) using SPI. I have connected following pins.

Master

J1-Pin 7 Clock

J1- Pin8- CS

J2- Pin6-SIMO

J2-PIN7-SOMI

Slave

PA2-Clock

PA3-CS

PA4-Rx

PA5-Tx

I have connected Rx to Simo in case 1 and Rx to Somi in case 2. But in both case I am able to send data from master correctly. But Slave is not receiving it correctly.

I am sending 6 bytes using master and trying to receive those using slave.MIBSPI1.rar SPI_Slave.rar

I have set the baud rate to 1Mhz and enabled the clock polarity in TMS 57004(Master).I am using the external crystal oscillator 25Mhz for the slave(TM4C1294XL).

PFA the codes for Master as well as the slave (TM4C1294XL).

I am still unable to open your .rar files. I use 7-zip and am able to open .rar files from other sources.

I did not have any trouble receiving data as a slave. One thing that might be your issue, CCS may not display the pui32DataRx buffer well because it is allocated on the stack. The display in the expression window may change as the SP value changes. Moving the declaration of pui32DataRx outside of function scope makes it static and easy to monitor in CCS. Here is the waveform and a picture of the values captured.
