RTOS/TM4C1292NCPDT: is there any limitation in event post count when even pend is not used?

Part Number: TM4C1292NCPDT

Tool/software: TI-RTOS

Hi,

What happen if the task is posting event continuously and event pend task is not performed for a while? Is there any limitation in ti rtos for event post if the event pend task is not used for while? whether even pend task can resume at later stage and continue to use the earlier i.e. last event post?

Regards

Bala

  • Hi Balla,

ti.bios.knl.Events are binary. So you can post as many times as you want and if
    1. there is a task pending on that event, it will be made ready and then run when it is the highest priority thread.
    2. there is nothing pending on it, it will stay signaled. Then if a task calls pend on it, it will not block (and clear out the binary post).
