There is one reference design that you can find at: www.ti.com/.../index.html

Here's the link to the kit: www.ti.com/.../TIDM-RM46XDRV8301KIT

The control is implemented using the RM46L852 microcontroller, which is very similar to the TMS570LS1224 so that the application can be easily ported to the LS1224 as well.
