TMS470MF0660x VIH value for nPORRST input

I have a question about VIH value in page 36 of the TMS470MF0660x Data Sheet(SPNS157).

There is no description about the VIH parameter for nPRORST input in the Table 5-1.

I think this value is needed to specify at nPORRST input, in order to be tied to inactive high.

Why this is not specified in the Data sheet ?

 Thanks and Best Regards,

KIMIZUKA

  • KIMIZUKA,

    Thanks for finding out that.

I have forwarded this to the expert and will get back to you as soon as possilbe.

    Thanks,

  • KIMIZUKA,

The VIH for power on reset pin is similar to other IO pins.

This will be updated in next datasheet release.

  • Haixiao,

I could  find the VIH row is now removed from the Table 5.1 Timing Requirements for nPORRST in Page 35 of the updated Datasheet(SPNS157A).

However, the note for the nPRORST exception at the VIH spec is still remanining at the Note (3) in Page 33, section 4.3  of the SPNS157A.

This nPORRST exception should be removed from the Note (3) ?  And it will be updated at the next release of the Datasheet ?

    Thanks and Best Regards,

     KIMIZUKA

  • KIMIZUKA,

Yes, I removed the VIH row for nPORRST from Table 5.1. But I did not remove the VIL row for nPORRST.

The note in page 33 is:

    The V

    IL here does not apply to the OSCIN, and PORRST pins; the VIH here does not apply to the OSCIN, and RST pins;

We still want to make VIL for nPORRST a special item. The VIL for nPORRST is more strict than the other input pins because we want to guarantee that nPORRST passes a low as soon as the I/Os start to power up. At that time, VCCIO is less than 3V.
