RTOS/TM4C1294NCPDT: Is there reason why we cannot use PIN.h in TM4C as un CC2640R2

I use PIN.h and PINCC26XX.h in CC2640R2 which is neat way to setup GPIO

Can I do same thing for TM4C device?, I note there no example code with effective use of PIN.h (only GPIO.h to use instead).

Just curious why pin.h is left out?
