TMS570LS1224: SRAM Register read compare API failing at lower temperature

Part Number: TMS570LS1224

Hello Team,

We are using the Self-test API's from Safety TI library as part of system diagnosis.

Currently we are testing our system at the lower temperatures. During our testing @ -40 c, We observed that Self -Test API

Reg_Read_Compare(SRAM,COMPARE); is giving a failure/FALSE  status.

Can someone address why we are getting this failure at lower temperatures?

Did someone from TI verified these Safety TI library API's at lower temperatures?

Regards,

Bharat

  • Hi Bharat,

Does this function work well at room temperature? Is the failure repeatable at -40c? Is the PLL clock ok at -40C (no PLL slip error, etc)?
To check the system clock, you can configure the ECLK as the VCLK (divide by a prescaler) output and monitor the ECLK with scope. I will invite our SW software to five comments. Thanks
  • Hi Bharat,

Did you power cycle the board at -40C, or reset the CPU at -40C? What is the temperature ramp rate from room temperature to -40C? Which board did you use?
