IAR 5.50.5 and F035 FLASH Library 1.04 will not link

I am trying to call routines in the F035 FLASH 1.04 library using the IAR 5.50.5 development environment.

All called routines end up with a link error.

I have included the following libraries in the IAR Environment:

pf035a_api_eabi.lib

pf035a_api_tiabi.lib

The f035.h, flash470.h, and flash470errordefines.h header files were included in the code.

Trying to call the following routines:

Flash_Compact_B

Flash_Erase_B

Flash_Prog_B

Flash_Verify_B

Andy,

You only need to link the 1 of the libraries. For IAR, only include the pf035a_api_eabi.lib which is in ARM's ELF format. The tiabi library is TI's older COFF format used by CCS.

Are you compiling with floating support enabled? If so, you may need to use the pf035a_api_eabi_vfp.lib which is compiled with floating support enabled. I do know the library links in IAR as they are linking in the library for their flashloader support.

If you can post more information, I do have the 5.50.5 IAR compiler here so I can do some debugging to see what the issue might be.

Tried switching to the library you suggested.

Still no luck.

What kind of information can I post that would be helpful?

After further investigating with Andy on the side, I found the need to wrap the Flash API header files with extern "C" {} as he is compiling using the C++ compiler and the Flash API uses C naming conventions. We also found explicitly adding the library to the linker options resolved this linking issue.
