TMS570LS0714: LS0714 PIN3 function

Hi Champs,

Customer used PIN3 (MIBSPI3NCS[3]/I2CSCL/N2HET1[29]/nTZ1) as TZ function by configure the PINMUX . customer also want to read this pin status, could you advise how to read this pin status? need to change the PINMUX or not?

The input status can be read from any of the other module connections. For example, you can read the input status of N2HET1[29] from the HETDIN register in N2HET1 module.

For example read the input status of N2HET1[29], need to change the PINMUX from TZ to N2HET1[29] or not ?

Hi,

No, you can leave the multiplexing configuration to select the nTZ1 function. Then read the pin status from the HETDIN register for pin 29.

If i want to read HETDIN register, need to enable the N2HET1 module first or not?

You need to enable clock to the N2HET1 module. This is normally already done in the systemInit() function. You don't need any other configuration in N2HET1 to read the input pin status register.
