TM4C1294NCPDT: How to compile Locator ?

Hello,

I am using Code Composer Studios 7.4.0. and TivaWare_C_Series-2.1.4.178 software package.

I am trying to compile locator/finder using cygwin. I am using windows 7.

I am getting error that No rule to make target '/usr/include/net/if_arp.h', needed by 'finder.o'. while compiling.

Can you please tell me what am i missing? Or the steps to compile Locator/Finder.

Hi,
There is already a pre-compiled executable located in the <TivaWare_Installation>/tools/bin/finder.exe

Hello Prassanna,

The tool can be re-built after modifications by using the Makefile that is included in the folder. The Makefile contains shell commands which can be executed to build the tool. This is done more often in Linux, but for Windows you can execute a Makefile via the NMake command. Using programs like Visual Studio for the VS Command Prompt app or Cygwin is common for building Makefiles w/ NMake. You may want to do some googling to familiarize yourself with what Makefile's are and how they work, it can be complicate to grasp at first.
