RM57L843: SYSECR software reset, any non-volatile registers surviving software reset

Part Number: RM57L843

Hi,

are there any registers that are non-volatile across a system reset triggered via SYSECR reset bits. A customer needs to have something to communicate from application back to the bootloader.

Thanks,

  • Hi Gunter,

    Sorry for the late response.

Asserting system reset does not affect the contents of SRAM modules on the MCU. There are some registers that only get reset on a power-on-reset, but these are for indicating fault statuses. I think your best bet would be to use an SRAM location or the data Flash bank for this purpose.
