Dear Sir,


We are working with the Hercules "TMS570LS0432 Launch Pad - LaunchXL TMS57004" evaluation board. We want to externally power up this board without using a USB connection for power. How can we achieve this? Is there any documentation for this? We checked the datasheet but we weren't able to find something related to that.

    Hello,
    You could do as follows: 1. Remove fuse F1 (Instead of this you can cut red wire in USB cable); 2. Connect external +5V to J10.1 and GND to J10.3.

    (If you are not using booster pack, +5V could be connected to J3.1 and GND to J3.2)
