HELLO ,

I wanted to connect a sensor at UART1 of tiva board . As we cannot read the values from that port. As it locked .Can any one suggest how to unlock the UART1 using CCS6 IDE.

Here is some sample code to configure UART1

But uart1 is locked . We need to unlock it.
Can you suggest how to unlock

What do you mean UART1 is locked? Are you able to connect to the device with Code Composer? What hardware are you using? Is it EK-TM4C123GXL?

Hi Bob,
It's tm4c123gh6pm. Lock means if we connect any sensor to the pin of uart1. It does not read the value from Rx pin of uart1. If we do the same thing using uart0 it reads the value.
I have done uart1 init which you have shared the code. It won't work.
The same code if we do for uart0 it works .
Means uart1 is not able to read .
I have checked with the same issue was faced by many people they had common ans. It's locked.
So if you can suggest the. Code how to unlock the uart1.

Only the JTAG and NMI pins are locked by default. Not UART1. Information on unlocking those pins is given in the second post pinned to the top of this forum titled "Diagnosing Common Development Problems". But that is not your problem.

Which pins are you using for UART1, PB0 & PB1 or PC4 & PC5? Here are two projects, one with UART1 on port B, the other on port C. Neither example has to unlock the port.
