TM4C129ENCPDT: industrial vs extended temp range

Hi,

We are using a EK-TM4C129EXL Tiva evaluation kit that uses the TM4C129ENCPDT processor. Based on the data sheet this processor has two temp ranges. An industrial range that goes up to 85C and an extended that goes up to 105C. Is this processor manufactured in two packages? what version is used on the Eval kit and what would be the part number for the extended 105C temp range? I have been looking over all the documentation and i don't see it outlined anywhere.

If you look on the order page you will see part number variants for both ranges: http://www.ti.com/.../samplebuy

Eval kit uses the lower range, and LaunchPads are not tested for extended ranges.

The extended 105C temp range part is TM4C129ENCPDTT3

In our application the eval kit board will be enclosed with no ventilation. Do you think just replacing the chip on the eval board would be OK. Or do you recommend another similar kit that uses extended range. I guess the last option wold be to do a custom board.

Hello Pedro,

The Evaluation kits are not meant to be used for anything but evaluation only. They should never be used in an actual design. You need to make a custom board.
