Hello everybody,

I have Hercules TMS570LS12x Launchpad and I am trying to configurate the I2C port with HALcoGEN and after make a program in IAR Embedded Workbench for ARM but I could not.

Is there a sample project with this microcontroller to configure the I2C port to use in IAR?

Can someone please help me to do this?

Hi,

What is the error/issue you're facing?

Did you follow instructions provided at for the use of IAR tools?

Hello Girish,
Yes I followed the that instructions, in fact I am already using GPIOs, and UART of the launchpad.
But in the I2C bus, I can not get the communication with the slave.
I am watching the bus with a logic analyzer (Saleae), but in those pins for I2C(N2HET1[4]-SCL , N2HET1[9]-SDA) doesn't appear nothing.
Neither the clock signal.

Hello Fernando,
I2C interface need pull-up resistors on both lines. Do you have other device connected on the lines that have pull-up resistors? LaunchPad does not have I2C pull-ups.

Hello Miro,

Yes, I putted the resistors of pull-up of 4.7k, in fact the bus is in high(3.3V), I attach a capture of the logic analyzer

What is wrong in my Project (HalcoGen or IAR)?

Hi Fernando,
I am looking at HALCoGen project you have posted here. What I see is that in PINMUX TAB, I2C checkbox is not checked. Please check this box and try!
