TMS570LC4357: Corrupted address is not available upon L2RAM ECC error?

Hi,

With TMS570LC4357, I am looking at ECC errors that can happen or be detected by the L2RAM. For the following events, I have not found any register that would give the address in RAM where the ECC error occurred (or was detected):

- 2bits ECC error in L2RAM detected upon 8/16/32/64bits read from core -> generates an FIQ (according to TRM)

- 2bits ECC error in L2RAM detected in the 64bits data read of read-modify-write upon 8/16/32bits write from core -> generates a Data Abort (according to TRM)

Did I miss something? Thanks.

Hi Etienne,

RAMUERRADDR captures the address for which there was an uncorrectable error which indicated by the Cortex-R4F CPU's SECDED logic.

There is no register to capture the address of the double bit ECC error.

Hi,

We are working with the TMS570LC (Cortex-R5), not the TMS570LS (Cortex-R4). I think the TMS570LC4357 (R5) TRM (SPNU563A) has a documentation error since the registers RAMUERRADDR and RAMPERRADDR mentioned in "8.2.2.6 Redundant Address Decode" and "8.2.5 Emulation/Debug Mode Behavior" do not seem to exist according to "Table 8-2. L2RAMW Module Control and Status Registers".

Hi Etienne,

I confirmed that those two registers are not used in TMS570LC4357 device. There is no register to record the error address.
